Having a license means that the company has met certain basic requirements. It’s installers have received training and learned the skills and knowledge needed to do the best possible work. Because your property is important to you, you want a professional business overseeing the installation. Insurance is also crucial for liability and worker’s compensation in order to protect you and your property.

Before you hire a flooring company, you must ask if they are licensed and insured. If they say yes, then you will want to get this statement in writing. Be sure to review their certificates. It’s a good idea to double check with the Lee County Tax Collector website to confirm the company has a valid license. Also ask to see a company’s proof of insurance and verify that they have worker’s compensation insurance. This will protect you, the homeowner, from any liability.
