Carpet Prices - How NOT to overspend on carpeting

As a counterpoint to our first Ebook tip, you should also be careful not to underspend on carpet.

Your flooring choices should reflect the quality of your home. Would you stick a ratty old sofa from Goodwill in a million dollar mansion? Probably not. By the same token, you shouldn’t install rental-quality carpet in an upscale house. It doesn’t fit the bill.

Furthermore, your carpet is one of the most noticeable features in your house. By square footage, it’s covering more area than any other textiles (like curtains, drapes, bed covers, etc.)

Why is it false economy to spend too little on carpet? The old adage “you get what you pay for” is true for carpet prices. In your shopping trips, you’ll find that prices do vary significantly from the low end to the high end.
